Importing external data / FetchCat

Flexible possibilities

LIBERO is remarkable for the flexibility it offers in importing bibliographic data from remote sources. Here are some of the options available:

  • From the internet: For example via Z39.50 or downloaded from e.g. Amazon, the Library of Congress
  • From different German union systems: Via special cataloguing clients (e.g. WinIBW)
  • From other (LIBERO) databases: Via a simple cross-database mix
  • With cut and paste

From cataloguing you can go directly to a search in the required data source. If necessary, the data can be transferred directly into the cataloguing screen and subsequently further processed or saved.
